Lisa M. Molsbee

Lisa M. Molsbee has a broad range of experience in civil litigation from presuit resolution through post-decision appellate work, providing logistic and strategic support in numerous cases across the gamut of the firm’s practice areas. As a result, she is experienced in multiple areas, but Lisa has focused her practice on employment law, intellectual property, and insurance subrogation.

Lisa received her Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2002. She graduated and was a CALI Award recipient in the following areas: Legal Profession, Oil & Gas, and Wills I. She is admitted to all Oklahoma State Courts, U.S. District Court for the Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit.

Lisa excels in developing and implementing creative defensive strategies that seek early resolution of cases through non-suit, motion practice, or early settlement. She also excels at planning and executing necessary appeals and responses, including drafting all motions and briefings.

Lisa’s experience includes receiving summary judgement in favor of former property owner on premises liability claim successfully defended in Oklahoma Supreme Court after reversal by Intermediate Appellate Court – 2008 OK 45, 191 P.3d 1207. She has also achieved nominal settlement when defending a bank against an $180,000.00 claim of payment of checks with forged signature. Lisa has also won dismissal of breach of fiduciary claims against bank, achieved settlement of remaining $800,000.00 unauthorized payment claim for less than one-third of the claim. Lisa has collected hundreds of thousands of dollars for her subrogation clients. She was instrumental in resolving a significant sexual discrimination case for nuisance value.

Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and has recently began sharing her love of cooking with the younger generations who, for the moment at least, are interested in learning and helping. Further she is a voracious reader. This hobby set her on her career path when she developed interest in true crime novels.
